Travel Basketball - Girls and Boys

Common Sense Youth Sports

PowerU Travel Basketball is a middle ground between house leagues and expensive, highly-demanding travel teams. We provide an exciting environment for players, coaches, and families where students can focus on developing the fundamentals of the game from accomplished coaches.

Who: PowerU currently has open spots on travel basketball teams for girls and boys in 3rd grade up through 6th grade.

When: The seasons starts Dec 1st and lasts for 12 months.

Practices:

During the Spring, we will have a light schedule to supplement the little league schedule – typically 3-5 ad-hoc practices and/or scrimmages.

Over the Summer, we will offer 1-2 optional practices per week, schedule permitting.

During the Fall, we will aim to practice once per week.

Winter practice/workouts will be twice a week.

Games/Tournaments:

We will play in approximately 4 tournaments each calendar year - typically 2 in the Winter and 2 in the Summer.

We play in Spring, Winter and Summer leagues, and will host a few events as well in December and January.

During the Fall, we will seek to work on skill development and stay away from games.

Location: We will practice in and around Vienna, including practice time at Bishop O’Connell HS.

Cost: We anticipate the cost to be approximately $500 per year, which will cover jerseys, registration and tournament fees, referees, coaching staff, and practice equipment.

We are happy to help answer any other questions you may have regarding the travel experience. Connect with a staff member to learn more about the camp.
