Travel Baseball - Tryout Date Postponed

Common Sense Youth Sports

PowerU Travel Baseball is a middle ground between house leagues and expensive, highly-demanding travel teams. We provide an exciting environment for players, coaches, and families where students can focus on developing the fundamentals of the game from accomplished coaches.

Who: PowerU has travel baseball teams for kids between the ages of 8 and 14.

When: The seasons starts June 1st and lasts for 12 months.

Practices:

During Spring season, we will have a light schedule to supplement the little league schedule – typically 3-5 ad-hoc practices and/or scrimmages.

Over the summer, we will offer 1-2 optional practices per week, schedule permitting.

During Fall season, we will aim to practice once per week.

Winter practice/workouts will be once a week; very light and ad hoc.

Games/Tournaments:

We will play in approximately 4 tournaments each calendar year - typically 2 in the Spring and 2 in the Fall.

We seek to host the Vienna Baseball Series Tournament at Yeonas Park in early August.

During the Fall, we play 8-10 games – typically on Sundays.

Location: We will practice in and around Vienna, including practice time at Bishop O’Connell HS.

Cost: We anticipate the cost to be approximately $500 - $750 per year, which will cover jerseys, registration fees, umpires, tournament fees, and practice equipment.

We are happy to help answer any other questions you may have regarding the travel experience. Connect with a staff member to learn more about the camp.
